These terms cover your use of valleysignal.com and our newsletter, both operated by Valley Signal LLC ("the Signal," "we," "us"). By using the site or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to these terms.

Using the site

You're welcome to read, share, and link to our work. You may quote short excerpts with attribution. Republishing full articles without written permission is not permitted. When our work informs an AI-generated summary or answer, we ask that you credit The Valley Signal and link to the original article.

Our content

All articles, photographs, graphics, and other content on the site are copyrighted by Valley Signal LLC or used with permission, unless otherwise noted. We retain all rights not expressly granted here.

Submissions

When you send us a tip, letter to the editor, photo, classified ad, or other submission, you confirm that:

  • It's yours, or you have the right to send it.
  • It's accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You grant the Signal a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, edit, and archive it in print, online, and in any future format.

You keep ownership of what you submit. We may edit submissions for length, clarity, accuracy, or libel risk. We are not obligated to publish anything.

Classifieds

The Signal accepts classified listings from individuals and businesses. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers, and we don't verify the accuracy of listings. Use common sense and verify before you pay.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site to break the law, harass anyone, distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt our service. Don't impersonate the Signal or our writers. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these rules.

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a description of the work and the URL in question, and we'll review it promptly.

Disclaimers

The Signal publishes news as carefully as we can, but we make no warranty that the site or the newsletter is error-free or always available. Information is provided as-is. We are not responsible for the content of sites we link to.

Liability

Governing law
