Teton Valley sheriff blotter, the week of July 19–25. Two hundred thirty-eight calls came in to the Teton County Sheriff's Office.

Nine thefts came in over the seven days, five of them on a single day: a trailer out of a Driggs shop, a dump trailer driven off, a license plate off a motorcycle visiting from Colorado. Someone got into a Victor home and left with $4,000 that had not been in a safe. Not one DUI arrest was logged.

12:24 A motorcyclist visiting from Colorado reported the license plate stolen off the bike in Driggs. A report was taken. It had not fallen off, the caller said.

08:00 A deputy headed home reported four head of cattle out on Highway 33 near Tetonia. Another deputy, on the way into work, could not find them.

10:48 A caller in Driggs reported a trailer stolen from a shop and sent video footage to investigators. A description of a vehicle was taken. The report was filed as grand theft, the value over $1,000.

16:05 Someone came off a bike and broke a hip in a remote spot off Pine Creek Pass, reachable only by four-wheeler. Air Idaho was contacted, and Search and Rescue brought the patient out to a waiting ambulance.

11:07 A Driggs business owner reported that an employee had used the company account at a local business to buy about $1,400 in items for a side job. It would have been fine if he had asked first, the owner said. The employee acknowledged the purchase and said he had resold the items for more. The owner said the man, now a former employee, had also been approaching his customers behind his back, and told him to go to the business and pay off the balance.

13:57 A caller in Driggs reported that someone had taken off with a dump trailer around six the evening before. Images were forwarded and the case is under investigation.

13:55 Three vehicles collided in Driggs, blocking traffic. No airbags deployed, and there was no transport to the hospital. Deputies issued a citation for speed and a misdemeanor citation for marijuana.

08:25 A worker in Victor reported that a trailer at a job site had been broken into the night before and items taken from it. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

11:40 A caller in Victor reported watching what they believed was a drug deal: one vehicle's lights went off and then flashed, and a second vehicle flashed back. The caller had video and was told where to send it.

23:11 A hospital in Driggs called for help with a person swinging at nurses. The nurses declined to press charges.

15:53 Someone walked into the sheriff's office in Driggs to report a theft from months earlier: $1,200 paid for labor that was not performed. The case is under investigation.

20:24 One man punched another at a Victor gas station. A third party called it in. Deputies met the victim at a residence and learned the two had been feuding for months. The victim was bleeding from the mouth and declined medical treatment. They located the man who threw the punch, a 28-year-old Victor man, and arrested him on aggravated-assault and battery charges. He was taken to the Madison County jail.

16:13 A Victor resident reported that someone had gotten into the house and taken $4,000 in cash. Nothing was damaged, but the place had been gone through. No report was taken; the caller said they would call back. The money had not been in a safe. It had been in a hiding spot.

20:30 The fire chief from Teton County, Wyoming called to ask what the fire restrictions are in Teton County, Idaho. The call was forwarded to the fire department. Dispatch logged it as a public assist in Jackson.
