Boil Water Advisory Issued for North Driggs Residents
Boil Water Advisory Issued for North Driggs Residents
Driggs, Idaho — March 23, 2026
The City of Driggs has issued a boil water advisory affecting customers along and north of Valley Centre Drive. The advisory covers addresses on Moraine Court, Baltoro Way, Grinnell Way, Hubbard Way, Buffalo Junction Loop, and Highway 33 north of the Driggs Vet Clinic.
The Pressure Drop
City officials say water pressure in the distribution system fell below 20 psi. They have not identified a specific cause. When pressure drops, contamination can enter the system through backflow, backpressure, or back-siphonage. Drinking water may then contain disease-causing organisms.
Boil Before You Use
Residents in the affected area should boil all water before use until further notice. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute and let it cool before use. Bottled water works too.
Use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation.
Handwashing with tap water and soap for at least 20 seconds remains safe. The city recommends also using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol as an added precaution.
Health Risks
Inadequately treated water may contain bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and headaches. Infants, young children, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems face the greatest risk.
Until the All-Clear
The advisory stays in effect until the city confirms water quality has been restored. Residents should monitor the City of Driggs social media channels for updates.
