Corona Valley Subdivision Proposed Adjacent to Teton High School

DRIGGS — The Corona Valley subdivision, a proposed 180-unit residential development, is moving through the Driggs planning process, with the development site located directly east of Teton High School.

Details on the project are still emerging as it works through the Driggs Planning and Zoning Commission. The proposal adds to a string of active development applications across the valley, including the Pinnacle Peaks rezone (where Valley Advocates for Responsible Development filed a reconsideration request in January), the Sweetwater replat (which has raised lead contamination concerns near schools), and the 80-acre annexation north of Victor approved for the wastewater plant site.

The Corona Valley proposal arrives as the county updates its Land Development Code. The next LDC workshop is scheduled for March 24 — covering subdivision concept plans, preliminary plats, final plats, and natural resource protections.

Teton County is one of Idaho's fastest-growing counties, with an estimated population of roughly 13,500 and growth of about 2.3% annually. Median home values range from approximately $595,000 to $870,000, and workforce housing remains one of the most frequently cited concerns in public meetings across all three cities.
